7 week old toy fox terrior vomiting

my toy fox terrier just got its shots.The day after her shots my son devon stepped on her leg and broke some of her toes.We took her to the vet and the doctor gave her a antiflamitory.I need to know if the vomiting is happening because of the medicines or if she just is sick and I need to take her to the vet.

Hi Wendy,

You didn't say which anti-inflammatory drug your dog was taking, but I can tell you that stomach irritation can be a side effect of anti-inflammatory medications in general.

You should contact your vet and tell him or her that your dog doesn't seem to be tolerating the medication. If the vet thinks the problem is the medication there are other drugs which can be prescribed.

Also, sometimes anti-inflammatory medications given just after a small meal or snack will help minimize the stomach discomfort.
