My dogs licking

Question
Hi. My dog, Rookie, just turned 6. Over the past 4 or 5 days he has been licking constantly. Some people said he  might be really sick but I should look it up on the internet. I did and found that it could be OCD, but they said that was in older dogs like twice his age. Could he have the same thing? Is that really serious? Will he be okay? Is he okay now? He licks everything. The floor, his toys, me, my grandpa, my bed, himself.... and sometimes just the inside of his mouth if you know what I mean. I'm really worried about him, mostly because of all the possibilities I've heard. I want a few more opinions and then I will probably take him to the vet. Thank you so much for your time and help.

Answer
Hi, Good for you for trying to get your dog some help. I would first elminate any physical reasons for the behavior, but honestly I believe it is OCD. This can occur in dogs of any age, and is more prevalent in certain breeds. Have there been any changes in your dogs life? Dog food, circumstances etc?
