our dog is 3 yrs old and started biting our 10 year old grand daughters friends - just her friends - it is like she is jealous we spank her and put her in the cage but she has't stopped - otherwise a nice dog - I am shopping for a muzzle, but how do we stop this behavior

Probably the best thing would be to get a water bottle and spray the dog and say 'no' loud and firm-as that usually does the trick for this type of problem

You also may want to look into obedience classes,if you haven't done so already as that can curve behavioral problems and the trainer can work one on one with you
