expiry

Hi, is expired dog food bad for dogs. Sorry the label reads best before Feb 7th 07. It is dry food and still sealed. Petsmart was throwing it away and I decided to take it not knowing that it was about to expire so soon. Within the next 10days or so. What would u suggest? IT is a holistic brand of dog food. Its Blue Buffalo or w/e. I got like 6bags maybe more. Is it really bad for the dog to eat such foods? Because I know dogs have great immune systems. Although they maybe sensitive at times. What would u suggest? Anyways thank you!

Hello, I wouldnt use it past the end of febuary some might say otherwise but I persoanly wouldnt use it past then, just as in people products the vitamins/minerals go stale afterawhile and no longer wokr the way they should they are less potent and I'd think with meat adn such in the case of dog foods it wouldnt be a great idea to use it much past an expiry date. Keep a bag or two and donate the rest to a rescue tell them its expiriing soon and they'll have it gone before then anyways.
