Sneakers (10 yr old Lab)

all of a sudden, Sneakers has become listless, groaning, has been scratching both sides of his abdomen, drinking lots of water, and not eating at all.  Hes shivering a Lot and won't leave our side.  He has a small bump that the vet has told us to keep an eye on - it hasn't changed at all.  He's had the bump for about 1 year. Just wondering what we should do to get him better and make him more comfortable. Also his nose is still damp and cold if that helps at all.

Hi Nancy,  Its hard to say what to do not knowing what could be causing these symptoms.  Not eating is not good.  Also drinking lots of water can mean a lot of things.  Could he possibly have gotten into anything poisonous?  Normally when something happens suddenly like that you look to something foreign causing it.  Hope this helps,
