Question
I have a beagle puppy who is turning to be 5 months old. I have been teaching her where is the toilet area. She has been doing well. But the main problem is that all my family members need to work, so we actually confine her in a small area. But she will tend to tear off all the newspapers, make the whole place to be very messy and she even ate her own's stool. Please kindly advise me what can i do.

Answer
Dear Angeline,
Thanks for the question. You 'nailed' the "main problem" >>>>>all my family members need to work, so we actually confine her in a small area>>>>>>>>

Pups tear newspaper and eat their own stools. Can you arrange for someone to come over during the day and give her a break from her confinement? If not, you might try setting up her area with a bathroom and a raised bed. Please visit my web site, sign up for the mailing list and download the free house training guide. There is a section for house training instructions for people who are gone all day. web addy is http://www.howsbentley.com
