Question
QUESTION: I have a 5 week old pit bull and a Chihuahua which play tug of war and ruff house a lot causing the pit to snap and grawl. They seem to get along good. Is all of this bad for my pits temperment

ANSWER: At 5 weeks he should still be with his mother and littermates.  The Chihuahua should help make up their lack.  He would be doing the same with them.

QUESTION: I understand he should be with them. But either way he would leave the ruff housing with his litter mates at 8weeks will this be bad for him to play with my chihuahua like this over long term? I dont want him to become mean because I allow him to play ruff.

Answer
I don't see it being a problem.  Meaness or aggression is intolerable in a dog guide.  The puppies my frends and I raise are from time to time allowed to play roughtly as much as they want.  Between a year and a year and a half whne they are in formal training, 20-30 of them are turned loose at a time to play.  Some of them even after they are a working dog are allowed to play with other dogs when they are off duty.  So rough play doesn't make a dog mean.
