Over-the-counter Flea Treatments

Question
My vet gave me Advantix to use on our puppy (6 months old at the time). It seemed very costly, but I want to make sure my pet is as healthy as possible.

Our dog is now 8 months old, and we have 2 months' treatments left, before I need to "restock". I recently came across a product called Bio-Spot, which seems to be more comprehensive in its treatment, yet MUCH less expensive. Do you have any experience with Bio-Spot and Advantix? Could you advise me as to which is considered better, safer, etc...? I'd like to switch to Bio-Spot, as it's about half the price, but only if it makes good health sense!

Many thanks, in advance, for your kind counsel.

Nicholas

Answer
Nicholas,
I have to be honest with you,  I really don't know.  If it were me, I would try the less expensive one and if it doesn't work, then you will know.   Did you compare the labels? If it were me, and the ingredients are the same or very similar, I would try the cheaper one.  I wish I could be more helpful, but I really do not know for sure.

God Bless,
Becky
