Getting dog groomed

Hello...
I just adopted a dog from a shelter. And they neutered him on the 23rd. I want to take him to the groomer because he has ticks from the shelter...

When is the soonest I can take him to the groomer????

I wouldn't take him to the groomer until after the stitches come out; he certainly shouldn't get a bath until then. Those ticks do need to come off, however.

I have also used liquid hand soap. Put a glob of this soap on the tick, covering it thoroughly, as you "gently massage" the tick. He will fall off within a few minutes. http://britmorschnauzers.com/tick.html
