Question
Hello I have 2 Jack Russell pups they have been together since they were 8 weeks old they are now 5 and a half months old they are very hard to train, the female is a bit easier to handle but the male just wants to fight all the time I am wondering if I should split them up but I am wondering if they would miss each other too much. I have a very good home for one of the pups to go too but on the other hand I dont want to split them if it would make them depressed

Answer
Are you absolutely sure the male is FIGHTING and not playing?  Have you been able to previously observe how dogs play with each other?  Sometimes it can look very vicious when in reality it is not.

At 5 1/2 months, your dogs are still considered puppies, or young adolescents at the very least, and as such will most likely have a lot of energy and want to play a lot.  Jack Russells in particular are high energy dogs.
