Wont stay

I have a 3 year old Golden Retriever/Chow mix. We rescued him from Adopt-a-Pet about 2 years ago. He is a great dog, very sweet, listens most of the time when he is ON the leash, but as soon as you take the leash off you cannot control him at all! I am worried for his safety, any advice is much appreciated!

Well some dogs can never be trusted off leash,but there are some trainers that specialize in training dogs off leash,call all of the trainers in your area and ask them if they offer that,and if they don't ask them if they know of a trainer that does

You can also start off by ussing a VERY long leash or a flexie leash,and see how far he will go before you run into trouble
