Question
I'm very worried about my lab mix , sandee. she is approx 10 yrs old. the last week she has had 2 days where she is shaking slightly and does not want to move. i have also noticed some vomit in back yard. yesterday she was fine, running around and playing like a crazy dog w/ her brother.  iam terrified there's something wrong, but can't afford a vet.  do you have any ideas

Answer
Hi Melanie :-)

The symptoms you described can be caused by many different things from viral infections, bladder infection, Epilepsy to Kidney and other Organ problems.

The only thing you can do is take your Dog to the Vet for a through examination and for some blood tests. You will know what is going on with her then and necessary treatment can be administered to her.

As you can't afford the Vet, contact your usual Vet and ask them can you pay in weekly or monthly installments and if they wont do this, then contact every Vet in your phone book until you find one who will. There is a few Vets who will let you pay in installments so you can spread the payment out over a 1-3 months depending on the Vet.

Meanwhile give your Dog plenty of water to drink so it keeps her fluid intake up and prevents dehydration and give her a light diet. Something like scrambled egg, chicken, fish or boiled rice is a light diet and wont be harsh on her tummy and will stop the vomiting.

Take care and all the best and please leave me a comment.
