Question
Hello, My Shepherd has been diagnosed by our vet as having an allergy that he says means she must have an expensive kibble and nothing else. I live in Mexico and the food is very expensive,(the equivalent of 45.00 for 15lbs) it is Waltham Hypoallergenic-DR21 Royal Canin it is inconceivable to me that I cannot feed her something that I can make that is as nutritious and avoids the ingredients he is shielding her from. He also said due to the allergy she also now has a fungus for which he prescribed ketoconazol. Additionally she has an ear infection he called otitis that he prescribed an epiotic solution to clean and oridermyl for. I have been cleaning her ears 2x per day, giving her the oridermyl 3x per day & she needs to be bathed using vetriderm every ten days. As a result of the scratching she has a lesion on her nose that is getting a topical ointment antibotic/vitimin called brosin.   I have been doing this since Saturday 6/30 and she is much better but shge is spoiled and used to eating chicken & rice which I made fresh daily & has eaten very little of the kibble. I am sorry this is so long but felt you needed all of the information possible. Thank you in Advance, Gabriela,

Answer
hello i am sorry to hear your dog has allergies two of my dogs do and they are on blue Buffalo Fish and sweet potatoe kibble they Hated it at first as well but they got used to it and now it eat readily twice a day without any fuse. Since changing them to a fish and potatoe diet there allergies and skin have improved but they still get very itchy and take *1*  25 ML Benadryl Allergy pill(people pill's) every morning thou somethings my smallest dog needs one only every two days. I also use a skin relife dog shampoo. My Jack russell terrier was on a fungal shampoo once as well twice a week baths at one time. When my dogs allergies start to act up they get Yeast in there ear(s) and warrant vet treatment...ear flushes daily by myself and drops applyed a few times a day as well. I don't really see a question here? Are you asking what you can feed her besides the ets reccomendation? If so I reccomend Highly reccomend  Blue buffalo Fish and sweet potatoe its hypo allergtic and works wonders for my dogs, Also Purina PRO plan makes a salmon and potatoe formual I can also reccomend.
