cocker not eatting

my cocker whom i resued from a shelter isnt eatting.hes laying around sleeping alot.they told me hes about a year old.he was eatting good up til two days ago.

Thank you for writing to me and bless you for adopting a dog from a shelter!

My take on what you described is that either your dog is allergic to the food he is currently being fed and it is giving him a tummy ache or he is ill.

Not eating is the most serious sign of illness.  Please have your vet take a look at him as soon as is humanly possible..on an emergency basis if necessary.
