New young dog not sure the breed

Question
My husband and I just bought a miniature puppy dog from a person outside a pet store. He is in good health but we don't know what he is. He is only just six weeks old. We would like to potty train him but don't know how. Also he is chewing everything including our fingers. Could you give us advise on what kind of chew toys would be good for such a young dog. Thank you for your response.

Answer
Hello Tiffany and thanks for emailing,

Soundslike the puppy might not be a small breed.... bought from someone lurking near a petstore. when you take the pupy in for his shots you might be able to get them to tell you what they think he is or is mixed with.

Your best bet is to see my website for housebreaking/and basic of taking care of a puppy or dog

For nipping tell the puppy no push him away and stop playing with him...he is not going to be rewarded for biting you. Dont make the puppy bite your hands duing play...dnt incourage him t chew on you...if you wreasle with him and roll himover and tease him he will nip your playing with him hes biting and heis getting away with it...you cant start out that way...get him lots of chew toys and play with him using those. If you can get a few pictures on to photo bucket(type that into your serch engine) and email me the link I can help tell you what breed(s) he is.
