8 month old pom

ive noticed my 8 month old pom's genital area is really swollen..about 3 times its normal size.she also has been not as active since this started.im wondering if she picked up an infection or something.please give me your advice.

Hi Altaria and thanks for your question.

Could your pup possibly be in "heat" (estrus)? Has she been spayed? If not, then I would say she is in heat and you should be very careful about her being around male dogs.

If she has been fixed, then it is possible that she has some type of female infection. You should seek veterinary advise if this is the case.
