Question
QUESTION: What is the dosage and milligram for using this on a tiny chihuahua who is on prednisone 5mg per day?  I was reading it helped but im not seeing alot of people claiming the benefits of using this instead of prednisone for autoimmune skin disease-pemphigus foliaccus.  Can you give me more information on the benefits?

ANSWER: Hi Annie,

Thanks for writing to me.  Your question is beyond my expertise but there are a couple of vets you can talk to.

1- Dr. Kruesi (Cold River Vet) - phone consults
2- Dr. Newkirk (Margate)-phone consults but since you are in NJ you might want to go there.

Additionally, my colleague Ada Nieves who is the Queen of Chihuahuas might have some information for you.  anieves913@aol.com/  Tell her that I sent you.

Best of luck with your munchkin.

QUESTION: That lady did not have a answer she was suppose to check with someone but i never heard back.  Someone asked me to have a consult with Dr. Kruesi I was looking for free i cannot afford.  I put so much money out on her with no help.

Answer
Hi Annie,

I did read a copy of an email that Ada sent to you.  I don't know what information she was going to find out for you but don't hesitate to send her a reminder note.  She's extremely busy but very caring about all dogs.  A very good person.

I am the one that suggested contacting Dr Kruesi.  He is a nutritional expert and has helped many dogs with problems that other vets weren't able to.

You can also try Dr. Wen on LI.  He is probably the most reasonable of all the vets and very good.

Have you looked at Shirley's Wellness Cafe website?  She is very knowledgable and doesn't charge for information.  She may recommend trying Transfer Factor Plus.  She saved the life of a cat that belonged to a friend of mine.  Shirley@MyWellnessHouse.com, or, Shirley@shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/

I don't know what else to suggest at this moment.  If I think of something more, I will contact you.  I wish you the very best of luck with your precious dog.

Warm regards,
Shelley Davis
