sores in face

I have adopted a miniature poodle from the shelter who has sores on her face.  They will not heal and she is scratching constantly. The vet has given me tritop, the powder and the ointment. so far nothing has stopped her scratching

keep working with your vet.  Has he suggested one of those cones to keep her from scratching her face.  Also ask about Benadryl or a cortizone to reduce the itching until they heal.  Benadryl is up to 2 mg per pound of body weight every 8 hours.  A regular 25 mg capsule may be too much for her.  I think it comes as a liquid too.
