2 Yr old male pomeranian

I have a 2 yr old male pomeranian. He is losing his hair all across his back and hind legs. The skin does not look irratated or anything. I have been using a shampoo every other week called Dermacare that was recommended by Petco. The shampoo seems to help but why is he losing his hair like this. This dog has lost so much hair you can't even tell he's a Pom.

We have had no internet due to weather..
He sounds like he could have mange, but, for sure, he needs to be looked at by your Vet. As they will do a scraping of the skin and check for parasitic activity, or possibly a skin disorder.
