Boils on my dog?

Hello,

I've got a 5,5 year old boxer male and noticed yesterday he's got a boil just by his "poop-whole". What to do? Does he need to see a veterinarian; or can I clean it out myself? Could this have to do with his diet? How to avoid this in the future?

Hi Anna;
A lot of things can determine his condition.
But, absolutely take him to the Vet!
There is no way I can diagnose that from not seeing it.
I would want to have him look at his Diet and his age is a factor, to genetics.
So, your Vet will determine the best route for you to take.
