Answer
Hi Douglas;
I don't ever let my dogs sleep outside unless they just want to.
they can go in and out their doggy door anytime they please.
12 weeks old is a very young puppy. To young to be outside alone.
He is just a baby.
Dogs that live outdoors just do not live as long and their health does not fare as well as dogs that are allowed to live in the house with the family.
Dogs DO NOT do better living outside, because this is where they naturallu live.
Human beings didn't start out living in houses.
Cold weather is as hard on animals as it is on humans, and so is hot weather.
there is no ppoint in having a og if it is going to live outdoors.
If you have it for companionship, your campanion is outdoors, not inside where it can bond and be close to you.
If you have it for protection, if an intruder comes into your house through the front door or windows, your protection is out in the back yard.
I have raised a lot of animals and always had them indoors. I raised four children and two of my grandchildren.
My children and animals are always well trained, and the animals were really not as much trouble to clean up after than the children, and the children were taught to clean up a lot of their own messes.
Dogs don't trach in more dirt than children or for that matter, adults, do.
Police dogs live in the home of the officer they work with.
Only shep dogs and dogs that work cattle herds etc sleep outdoors, and they sleep cuddled up with their charges.
You can makie a dog fairly comfortable outside if you have a dog house of the right proportions, and built so they are out of the wind and cold.
I have NEVER seen a dog house on the market that is built right to keep the dog sheltered.
It is a LOT kmore trouble to maintain a dog that lives outdoors, if you do it right, as it does to let it live in the house and be a paret of the family.
