Carpet Digger

My mixed breed terrier(size of a scottish terrier/golden retriever color and tail "fan"and floppy ears) digs at the carpets under and at the sides of our beds. He shreds the carptet down to the backing.  Is this related to keeping his nails cut? Funny he doesn't dig in the yard at all.

I don't think it has anything to do with keeping his nails cut, Jennifer. Without actually seeing it, it's difficult to say why he's doing it. Does he do it when you're at home or when you're away? Does he do it at specific times? Is there anything under the bed that he may be trying to get at?
