Question
I don't know if you can help me with this or not (we already took him to the vet) but I have a 1 year old yorkie who a couple months ago started coughing and gagging. Now he is throwing up this yellow-white foam looking stuff. Do you know whats wrong with him or what it could be?

We just got a puppy who is panting outrageously all the time and his nose is runny. Is this just a cold? I'm taking him to the vet, but I don't know if she will figure it out or not.

Answer
Panting heavily sounds like pain, or a fever. I'm saying a fever, let's HOPE it's just an upper respiratory infection and not distemper or something very serious.
Your yorkie sounds like he's suffering from either GERD (gastroesophogeal reflux disease) or an esophagas abnormaility. Very common in yorkies. You can hope for the GERD, treat him by feeding him small amounts often rather than two means a day or leaving food down all the time. Keep water available at all times. Give him crackers or kibble just prior to bed at night and as early as you can in the morning. If you don't see some improvement pretty quickly, go back to your vet again. He could have an extended soft pallet, or as I said, a problem with his esophogas, which is really common with yorkies.
If you get no help from your vet with your yorkie., I'd find another vet.
good luck :)
