stomach ache

my dog started feeling poorly a couple days ago his stomach is making a growling sound he is throwing up white foaming looking stuff has diahrea also. he will not eat or drink anything. I gave him some pepto bismoth but he still laying around and wont eat what should I do for him.I was thinking about giving him a shot of penicilin would this be ok?

Please do not give him a shot of penicillin, or a shot of anything unless you know what is wrong with him. You could easily overdose him if you don't calculate the dosage correctly. I'm not a vet, so my first bit of advice is to take your dog to one, along with a sample of the diarrhea (use a plastic baggie inside out as a glove...I know, gross, but your vet might need it).  The vet can check to see if he has parasites.
You did not list his age, but I hope that he has had his shots, since this could cancel out any of a series of diseases, and could be at the very least, due to something he ate that is sitting wrong with him, or that something is stuck in his stomach or intestines.
Pepto Bismol will only take care of an upset stomach, and I've never thought of using it for my dogs.
Please take him to a vet soon. When we're sick, we sometimes lose our appetites, just like your dog, but going without any fluids could be detrimental to him.
