Service Dog

Hi, Lynn!  Can a Pit Bull be a service/assistance dog for a child/adult that has a disability, or are Pit Bulls banned from being service dogs?  Thank you in advance for any information you are able to give me!

Pit Bulls can be service dogs, but why would you want one (unless you want everyone to stay away from you).  You're also setting yourself up for more confrontations since it's not a a common service dog breed.  You'll get questioned more often trying to go into stores and restaurants than if you use a more common breed.  All that said, you can use any breed of dog as a service dog that can do the tasks that you need it to do.
