As far as I know the usual 63 days applies to all sizes of dogs.  After puppies are born, they need to spend 6 weeks with their mother and litter mates learning about being nice dogs.  After that, it is time to go to their new home to start learning to live with people.  If you have bred, or are thinking of breeding your dog, you need to learn much more than I can help with by answering a few questions.  A good place to start is www.akc.org.
