Maltese Breeding

I have a female and male maltese.  They were locked together the other night and again last night, butt to butt.  I didnt even notice any discharge or her acting any different.  Can she be pregnant?  When can I tell?  Is it possible not to be able to tell they are in heat in small dogs.  I do have a doberman and she bleeds alot when she is in her cycle.

Some dogs keep themselves very clean.   small dogs usually bleed, but if they are clean you may not notice.  It sounds like she could be pregnant.  how old is she? Is this her first heat?  Also, there are times they don't bleed much.  Or she could have an infection which is stimulating the male, but usually she has to be willing to copulate.
