thickening the coat of a yellow lab

Hi! I am showing my yellow lab in competition, but his coat is summer thin and the other dogs seem to be thicker. Any tips to get his coat thicker?

Sorry Deborah, but there's not much to do. You didn't say how old the dog is- it may be that he hasn't got his adult coat yet and needs to mature. You can consider the diet but if you have other dogs that you can see a big dif in then maybe this boy is just on the thin coat side. If you asking what can you use artificially, I doubt much. Try a product called  Kolesteral and some chalk but I doubt that's what you want.
Seasons change - so do coats.
Wait and see, if not, then only go to winter shows.
