yorkies eyes

ok. beside the fact that my 13 lb. yorkie is a total pig, ( he stands guard in front of the food bowls so my bichons cant eat)he has terrible eye problems.  poor things eys had "gunk" in them alot of the time and quite often the black rims are swollen.  we get a wet warm cloth and clean them out but they keep getting swollen.  we feed him eukanuba.  we are very stingy with the treats because he is a little torpedo. i hate to see him suffer and his little eyes look like they hurt so much.  i look forward to your reply--

Well, there are many reasons for his eyes to be bad, he MAY have some ingrown eyelashes, or small warts inside his lids that are causing problem.  I would recommend you take him to a vet to have it checked out, chances are good that with a little ointment he will be just fine!
