Question
I have some oster corded clippers, and the only worked for one or two cuts. I can't seem to get the clippers through her fine long coat. I'd like to know the proper type clipper blade for this fine cottony hair, and brand of clipper to use on my clippers to shave her hair.

Answer
Hi John.  Sorry for the delay in answering your question.  I talked to my groomer friend and was told that your Oster clippers are fine, but they have to be sent off for maintenance.  My friend suggest the Andis clippers.  they are self cleaning and are duel speed.

My friend recommends two sizes of clipper combs.  Size 7 will cut the hair to 1/18 of an inch and the size 5 will cut to 1/4 inch, both leaving a smooth finish.

The size of the comb is really up to you and how short of a cut you are looking for.

Good luck, and please do not hesitate to contact me if you have additional questions.  Sincerely, Penny D.
