Training my 1 year old husky

Question
Hi, I was wondering if you can give me a few tips on how to make my dog less crazy, jumpy, and listens more to my commands. I would also like to know how to teach him how to play dead and other cool tricks.

Answer
Exercise and then train. Take him out running beside a bike, or walk having him carry a back pack. Your dog needs a job.
#1 rule to training a Siberian, If they see no point to the exercise they won't do it. (Siberians are like cats) They generally do not do anything to make us happy, they want something tangible, like a treat or a rawhide.
#2 Don't let them weazel out of the trick you want them to do for another trick. If you say down, a shake won't cut it.
#3 before they eat, they must do something for you weather it is a simple sit or a more complicated lay down.

You will have to remember that you are training a pup. Siberians usually take about 4 years to mature..so be patent.
