Husky Cross Border Collie

Question
I have a 3 month old siberian husky cross border collie. I was curious as to what her behaviour will be like? I've read a few of your other answers about huskys not eating alot, can this happen with a cross as well??
She seems very timid and sleeps when it's cold?
I live in South Africa and in winter the temp goes down to about 14 15 degree's celsius. In summer it goes up to about 27 28.. is this an alright climate for her?
Thank you very much for all your great answers

Answer
It is warm for a husky or border collie there, but generally, the dog will adapt if there is adequate water, shade and some air conditioning.

As for traits in crosses - it's impossible to tell in advance really.  Sometimes, you will see strong traits of one breed or the other come through - the dog's coat, temperament, eating habits, abilities, intelligence, etc.  Other times, you will get completely random things and other times you get moderated traits between the two dogs.  As a whole, you have two active, intelligent breeds who are very quick thinkers.  The Border Collie is generally quite obedient and agile, while the Siberian is stubbornly independent and possess great strength and stamina for it's size.  Sibes are generally overly friendly, Border Collies are generally pretty friendly as well.  As I mentioned, you may get one extreme or the other, somewhere in between, or even sometimes, something completely different with a cross.  However, I definitely think the mix is a potentially very good one if you don't mind very intelligent dogs who don't necessarily obey commands.
