My 4 mo. old puppy

Question

Arkkan 4mo.old
I recently brought home my Siberian husky, Arkkan, and I am ABSOLUTELY in love with him. He is great with my two boys, 11 and 13 and he hasn't really been too awful with my two cats. He seems to mainly want to play with them. I'm a bit concerned with the fact that his right ear doesn't seem to want to stand erect like his left. Every once in a while it will go up all the way but for the most part it just kind of droops at the very tip. I must admit that it is quite cute but I'm wondering if this is something that will correct itself as he gets older or if he's just not going to have that typical "Husky" look. I don't mind either way because he's already proven to be one of the best dogs I've ever had the pleasure of knowing and in such a short time. I guess what I'm asking is this; Is there something I can do to "help" his ear stand erect or do I wait it out and see? Thank you so much for your time concerning this matter. I look forward to hearing from someone soon. :-)

Sincerely,
Arkkan's pet parent

Answer
It will hopefully stand erect, seeing as he is 4 months old it might not, they do not always stand up. What keeps a Siberians ears standing up is a thick build up of cartridge in the ear itself. Taping the ear might help, it will give the cartridge a chance to thicken with out bending it and wearing it thin.

Here is a video on how to do it and with the supplies you need. DO NOT DOCK THE EARS. This breed isn't meant to be docked.
