Please help I am not good with training dogs and am really trying but this is very annoying..thank you cheryl

Answer
I know how you feel.  I have had the problem with my huskies.  She is still a puppy, so she will act up a lot.  If you have the cat food next to the dog dish, then of course she will eat the cat food.  All dog loves cat food.  It is ok if she eats a little of it, but she needs to start eating her own food.  If the cat is not the food at the moment, then put it up until the cat wants it.  Have you tried mixing some wet dog food in with the dry?  That usually works.  Just mix a half of can with the dry when you are feeding her.  As for the other items, you are going to have to put the food away or up further on the counter.  The same with hair products.  You need to put them up off the counter.  You might want to shut the doors that lead to the hair products.  Training the puppy from not jumping up to get food off the counter will help.  Leash training her around the house will help.  When she jumps on the counter, pull her down by the leash.  Usually dogs will do these things when you are not in the room.  When you leave a room or the house... make sure everything is put away or put up.  I hope this helps.  If you have any other questions, please ask.

Thanks,
Laura
