Question
I have a siberian husky pup aged 5.5 months he is 42lbs and 22 inches to the shoulder. Considering he still has a growth spurt to come do you think he is a pure siberian or has part malamute.

Answer
Sounds like he may be mixed with something.  Keep in mind that the AKC standard (set-up by the SHCA - Siberian Husky Club of America) is just a guideline, and many purebred Siberians are not bred according to the standard.  So, it does happen that you get Sibes that are bred large or small because the breeder decided either a) not to try to breed to the standard; b) was careless and didn't keep track, or c) a pup is just an accident and ends up too big/too small.  But, it definitely sounds like this pup is going to exceed the AKC standards and very well might have a larger breed dog in him.
