Question
just want to ask what is the ideal or normal weight of a 4 month old male siberian husky puppy

Answer
The answer to this one depends completely on the growth spurts of the dog, if it is "within" standard and of course the parents and such.  The key to weight as a whole is that you should always be able to see a distinguished waist line, feel the ribs and spine without fighting too much through the fur and at the same time not be able to see the ribs or spine.  Additionally, stools should be firm and not too soft (which is sign of over or undernourishment).  An adult male husky should be around 45-60 lbs full grown (assuming standard height and breeding), and a four month old should be around 30-50% of that weight.  It's a wide variance, so it's REALLY tough to say, partially because all dogs seem to hit random growth spurts, go through "gawky" stages, etc.  Sometimes, they will grow faster than they can eat, and other times will put on some extra weight when they shouldn't, but then grow again and be fine or underweight . . .   I would guess as an AVERGAE - your dog should be around 20-30 lbs at this age.  With that being said, keep a close eye on the rib/spine/waist/stool infomation that you can see, as that is ALWAYS reliable as to proper weight based on the size of the dog.  Also, keep in mind that the dog should be making a steady increase in weight at this age, but don't be alarmed if week by week, you see it be steady or even drop a pound or two, as long as the overall montly trend is upward.  At the same time, if you are concerned he is overweight, keep an eye on stool consistency and the ribs, and if need be, cut back a little.  Of course, realize that a growth spurt might be around the corner, so don't worry too much if the dog seems a little pudgy for a few weeks.  :)

If you need anything else, let me know.
