One or two husky puppies?

Question
We are getting a siberian husky puppy this summer and have been thinking
about getting two.  Pros and cons?

Answer
If you have never had Siberians before, I would strongly suggest getting two seperately.  Get the first, train it until about 6 months old, and then maybe introduce a second.  Training two dogs at the same time is extremely difficult and you often will lose the human/canine bond during development stages if you are not very careful.  On the flip side, waiting six months allows you to work with each dog and is much easier to handle.  Our two dogs are five months apart in age, from the same kennel (half-brother and sister) and absolutely best friends.  Now that we know a lot about the breed, we are thinking about adopting our next Sibes as a pair from the same litter, but if it's your first run with Siberians from puppyhood - definitely go with getting two seperately.

Notice that I have not suggested just getting one though.  If you want one Sibe, two is easier . . . just not two at the same time.  Hope that helps and if you need anything further, feel free to contact me.
