To much crating?

Question
Hello!

Just got a 2 year old husky recently. He is crate trained which is great during the work day, but should I also put him in his crate at night to, or let him sleep in my room. I am afraid that if he gets bored he will become destructive while I am asleep. I try not to ever leave him crated at once for more than 4-6 hours. When he is out we go out for very long walks, and have about 4-5 walks per day. 2 in the morning, 1 at lunch and 2 in the evening. Feel free to let me know if I am being a good owner. Thanks!

Answer
Sounds fine to me.  And I do recommend crating the dog when you can't watch him (and sleeping is one of those times).  by crating him in your room, you can still let him know you are around, but that it's "pack nap time".  Usually works pretty well, and the dog will get on a schedule of sleeping with you.  Should be fine.

Congratulations on the new addition!
