Wondering if my rescued husky mix is not a mix

I adopted a 7 month old rescue about a month ago.  She was listed as a Husky/Australian Shepherd mix.  From her pictures, I thought she looked like more of a German Shepherd mix though.  But after a month of getting to know her and reading up on huskies, she's all husky except for her markings.  Parti-eyes, the coat, the feet, the tail, the temperament... But I don't think I've seen any online pictures of pure Siberians with facial markings that don't match the undercoat. Could her markings actually be those of a pure or almost pure husky?

Answer
It does look like mix from the pictures. The ear set is wide, a Siberians is supposed to be high on top of the head. Their are some that do have wide ear sets though. Also the ear is to big and the general ear shape is to pointy. Siberian ears are to be triangular, but the tips rounded, the ears small and well furred... but again, poorly bred dogs can have big ears.

What is the tell that she isn't pure is the fact that the black doesn't go through the whole coat and is only on the head. Australian Shepherds have the same coat type, but the color can be patchy and not blend. The coat appears Healthy, if a Siberian is marked like that you start to look to see if the guard hairs are dry, damaged and falling out, this is a condition called Alopicia X. But I do not think this is your case.

Aussi's also have parti-eyes. But if Siberian is part of the mix, she could be parti-eyes regardless of what she is mixed with.

If you really want to know what is in the Mix, they do have a DNA sample kit that can tell you.
