Question
My Sibe is 3 years old in january and im concerned about his weight....we just moved to canada from the UK and the journey was very stressful for him nevermind finding him a new brand of food etc.
I have him currently on Nutro Grain free food once a day 3 cups. can you tell me if this is good for him?

also should he be on a diet if he weighs 35kg at last weigh-in which was for the plane journey 3 months ago. I do walk him in the morning sometimes run and in the evening for 30-45 mins each time. he is in the garden all day and goes to the dogpark for an hour on the weekends to run as much as he wants.. i want him to be healthy and live for a long time...

he only gets a dentasitc and 3 marrow bone treats per day.thank you very much

Answer
Unfortunately I cannot tell by the weight if the dog is fat or not. Just like people dogs have different builds in the breed. Say a heavily boned dog that stands 22 inches would weigh more then a light boned dog at the same height and length. Or there are dogs that go over the standred and can not be expected to be in the weight bracket for that breed.

You can use this tool, to check your dog every day, depending on what you find, feed more or less then what is recommended on the bag, or switch to a diet food and still check if not daily weekly to see how much kibble to give.
