Neutering and growth

Question
Is it true that neutering a dog will stunt his growth?  I neutered mine at 6 months, and he isn't as big as I expected him to be  year later.  He is part Husky and part German Shepard and he is 1.5 years old. He is what I would consider a medium sized dog, whereas I imagined he would be large.

Answer
Neutering has no clinically known affect on growth that I have heard of.  Keep in mind, that if he is part Siberian Husky, Sibes are a smaller sized dogs, with males only being about 45-60 lbs.  Whenever you cross two breeds, you can get one extreme or the other in any trait, or a mix of the two.  It's impossible to tell on mixes usually.
