Feeding My Husky Pork

Question
Hi Laura,
I have a question that has been nagging me for a while now.  I own a full blooded Sibe, and feed him dry dog food most of the time. From time to time I will give him some table scraps. My question is, will it hurt him to feed him pork or raw eggs? My father also owns one which is the brother from the same litter as mine. His vet told him NO pork and NO raw eggs. I have fed mine both and have seen no problem he enjoys both. My vet on the other hand has really not said much about either. I have done some research but have really come up with nothing so here i am.. I hope that you can help me with this problem... Thanks a Bunch, Keri

Answer
Hi Keri,
Finding the dog raw whole eggs is are fine, but they should be cooked (lightly scrambled or hard boiled).  Pork makes dogs have diarrhea and isn't good for there digestive system.  A lot of vet's say no table scraps, but I find it to be ok.  It is ok to spoil your dog once in awhile.  Many dog owners feed their dog's raw food only, but that gets expensive.  I don't recommend feeding these items to the dog all the time.  I hope this helps answer your question. If you have any other question please ask.  Thank you,
Laura
