Question
hi my name is ayla iam in 7th grade and iam doing a project on huskies, and i was wondring are huskies nice, what do they eat, are they really hard hard to train?

Answer
Hi Ayla

Huskies are very nice.  They might look mean because of their facial markings, but they very nice.  They are not aggressive dogs.  They also are not guard dogs, so if someone breaks into your house, they will not protect you.  They are good with all types of age groups.  I have a 14-month-old son and a husky, who get along just great.  The only problem is they love attention, so when I am giving my son attention my husky gets very jealous.  Many people do not like huskies because they are hyperactive.  They will run around like crazy and jump on everything. They are also destructive dogs.  They will dig holes in the yard, eat furniture, shoes, etc.  The reason why is because they get board easily.  Huskies eat any type of dog food there is.  I feed my dogs pedigree.  Huskies are known to eat or kill small animals.  Examples are bunnies, cats, chipmunks, etc.  So you tend to keep small animals away from them.  Huskies are hard to train because they are a dominant breed.  They do not want the listen to their owners.  Training them to walk properly on a leash is the hardest thing to do.  Huskies are sled dogs, so they love to pull.  It takes a lot of time to train huskies not to pull when you are walking them.  They always want to be in front of the person who is walking them.  Training them at a young age (puppy) always helps.  They are very smart dogs, but because they are so dominant, they are very stubborn.  I hope this helps with you report.  If you have anymore, questions please ask.

Thank you,
Laura
