aggresion or dominance

Question
QUESTION: I have a husky bitch (14months old) She is very well behaved and have no problems apart from when she is on the lead around other huskies especialy other bitches. As soon as they are all let off they run around and are best of friends but shes compeletly differnant on the lead and has actualy biten one of the other girls. Is she being dominant or aggresive she is fine with all other dogs just huskies.

ANSWER: On the lead she is probably going into work mode. In work mode your best lead dogs, can and will get aggressive with other dogs if they do not think they are doing there work properly (pulling their own weight on the sled). To make this better I suggest you get her a pulling harness and have her pull you on a bike, roller blades or something because she is using this behavior on the wrong thing. If she learns the difference between pulling on a harness which is proper vs. walking on a leash it might curve this behavior and fill a part of her that is missing. The part where she does what she is bred to do. She knows something is missing and she is focusing a working behavior into a walk.

I don't know if I am right, but this is my guess from the info you gave me. Pulling in a harness in imprinted in their very genetics, it is something they LOVE to do.

QUESTION: Thanks ill try that!
Another thing relating to the above, how do i get her to meet with them properly? This is when she is realy bad and i have to muzzle her at the moment. Ive seen the other girls and they do growl and mouth but only playful. Its like sky doesnt understand and she goes to far lol she realy snarls. I only got her at ten months old so u think she might not have been well socialized as a pup? or is it the same as working mode? Is there any way i can stop this behaviour.

Answer
Yes that does sound like she wasn't properly scocolized with other dogs when she was younger. Do you know if she came from a small litter. Greeting when they act like that can be a dangerous thing, if you could get assistance from a trainer who can give you some hands on help. It would probably be benifical for you. With dogs like this it is always improtant to stay in there confort zone, also end each exspireance on a good note.
