Question
I have a young husky that stays must of the time on my fenced backyard, he have his dog house and everything there and a female husky make his company most of the time too.
Suddenly, his started acting different about thunderstorms, now when he heard a thunder he runs close to the kitchen doors that connects to the backyard and start whining and scratching the door kindly like he wants come inside the house. Should I let him come in or leave him in the garage? also, runs to the fence's gate and do the same there. He doesn't use to do this before when other storms cames. I think he is just nervous and my husband tried to training him go to his dog house but he doesn't like his house at all! I will appreciate any suggestions.

Answer
Unfortunately I don't have a good answer to this one.  The only thing I can say is that dog's usually work their fears around their environment and others acting within it.  Both of our dogs are indoor/outdoor, and we bring them in when storms are coming in - we just wouldn't want to be out the rain, and despite Mika's best attempts - we figure she should be in too.  We did have some reactions through the first bad storms, but by being with them and remaining calm - they fed off that energy.  Now, with the dog being outside more, it's hard for him to adjust to his owner's not being nervous or scared either.  I think your best bet is either: ignore it and hope your dog gets over it, or let him in and see how his reactions are.  It might be that he is just more comfortable in the severe weather being around his pack.  Perfectly normal and worth a shot.  Good luck!
