feeding times

Question
how long should we leave her food down for as she is not eating properly at the moment and at what time of day should she be fed as she is under weight and we are trying to get weight on her.

How long to leave the food down varies, but 5-10 minutes is sufficient.  You want the dog to understand that feeding time is a short period and encourage the dog to eat.  As far as time, depends on you, your dog, your schedule and what works.  I feed my adult dogs before work and with my dinner - usually about 7:30 AM and 7:30 PM.  Puppies need food a little bit more often.

Encouraging dogs to eat can be difficult, but usually a little bit of low sodium soup broth can be a great addition.  :)
