Siberian pup

Hi, I am thinking about getting a siberian husky puppy. I currently have to 1 year old cats, and I have heard that haskies have that natural instinct to hunt small animals including cats. What if I were to bring the pup up with the cats, would it still hunt them when it gets older?

I am asked this often and in my experience cats and Siberians are not a good mix, ever. Occasionally I have seen it work but even then the husky can get too carried away and I have seen accidents happen. I have brought up pups with cats only to find that when the pup is older he has still hunted them. The instinct to hunt way out numbers the early teaching sadly, most often. If I were you I would not try to do this.
