biting & lack of sleep

Question
Hi I have a 3mth old husky puppy (we have him 1 mnth) & he was house trained overnight which was brilliant! He was sleeping in a kennel outside but recently had an infection and we were advised to keep him indoors for a while. He has really started to bite. We play with him & he has plenty of toys but he is starting to break the skin. We have said "No" and left the room when he bites but that gets him really hyper. Also after his night time feed we bring him outside to go to the loo. He sleeps for about 3 hours and then starts to bark. For the last few nights, I have gone down to him & he has done about 4/ poos, is this normal? Sorry for all the questions but I really love him & I dont want to feel afraid of him and that he might bite a child or something.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Many thanks,
Jen

Answer
It sounds like this pup thinks he won something by you leaving the room. Not all dogs are the same. When you say "no" hold his mouth shut. Do not let go! He wil throw his head around to get you to let go this is him fighting you he thinks he is in charge of you and what he can do to you. As he struggles gently push him on his side and repeat "NO" firmly. Most important instruction, do not let him go till he stops struggling and lets out a sigh. The sigh is him saying "you win" You have a pup that sounds like he needs a phisical correction coupled with a verbal one. Like a child that says "Make me" after you tell them to do something lol. If you ware wondering about his stool movement bring a sample in to the vet and have them look at it. If nothing is wron with it, decrease the amount of food you give the pup.
He probably gets most of his sleep during the day dogs are genrally nocturnal. To swich this around wake him up during the day when you see him napping, this will make him sleep more at night.
