My Husky sleeps all the time

Question
Hi,
we just got our Husky and he is only 6 weeks old. (The breeder got the okay from the vet) One thing we noticed is he sleeps all the time. We ended up getting another puppy the next day (A lab) who is only 8 weeks old. we noticed our Husky stopped being depressed and is actually very playful and attached to the other puppy however when he is not playing he's sleeping. He sleeps all the time!!! If you pick him up, he will fall asleep within a minute in your arms. Recently I took in a sample of his stool to the vet and was tested positive for worms. We have our appt today for medication/treatment. Is the excess sleeping normal? is it a sign of having worms or is it because he was removed from his home at a young age? We've only had him for 5 days.

thanks!

Answer
He is probably tired due to, change in enviroment (exploring a new enviroment is exciting and nerve wracking for a new pup since they still partally rely on their mom for confidence till 8 weeks). The worms could have a little to do with it also because they rob the pup some nutriants and calories that they need. But pups that age are very young,if they aren't playing they are sleeping. But he does however sound like it could be a bit to much (as you said he falls alseep when you pick him up, rather quickly). Get his blood checked for thyroid and have a urine test done for diabities. It would be best to talk to about this with your vet.
