Adding a Husky puppy

Question
We have two dogs an 8 year old lab/border collie mix (male) and a 3 year old Australian Sheperd mix (female).  We are thinking of adding a puppy (pure breed husky).  Which gender would be best and are there particular breeds that do not get along and if so are these amoung those breeds?

Answer
The gender of a dog doesn't matter the attitude does. Look for a laid back sweet disposition. Heading breeds and Huskies usually do not mix if the dogs you have is high strung and anxious. Huskies have a very high prey drive that encroaches into most things they do a high energy dog who is nervous turns into a target to them. I had someone not to long ago come to me for help because her 4 month old puppy was attacking her 3 year old border collie just because she was a nervous dog.
I see one is mixed with lab, Labs are to huskies like peanut butter is to jelly. The complement each other greatly. Mostly because labs are very easy going and don't mind a bossy husky lol.
I am not saying that these breeds cannot get along, because breed shouldn't make much of a difference. If your heading breed dogs are calm and self assured, you should have no problem.
